The Apollo

Book #1 In The Constellation Thief Trilogy
The Apollo is officially an Idaho Press #1 Bestseller!
Avira Bianco is the daughter of the most powerful skyship baron in all of Aerope. She dreams of inheriting his empire someday but knows the odds are slim, given her place as a daughter, not a son. When her father betrays her by announcing her arranged marriage, Avira runs away. On board the great skyship Apollo, Avira dresses as a kitchen boy and soon develops forbidden feelings for one of her crewmates, Matteo.
But Matteo has a secret identity of his own. He is a detective hired by Avira’s father to ensure safe delivery home. As The Apollo sails closer and closer to mysterious southern ports, Avira and Matteo’s friendship blossoms into something more. But their confusing romance is the least of their worries as pirates, military generals, and warrior queens are on the hunt for Avira.
While Matteo is determined to put his heart first, Avira’s new life as a vicious sky pirate may be standing in their way. After all, is there any space for love so far above the Earth?

Writing for Young Adults (and the Young at Heart)

I believe young people deserve truly great stories—bold, brilliant, and bursting with heart.

My debut novel, The Apollo, launched in January 2024 as the first installment of the highly anticipated Constellation Thief Trilogy. It spent over a month as the #1 bestselling book in the state of Idaho. Some might call that small potatoes (see what I did there?), but I’m ridiculously proud.

Book two is on its way—coming fall 2025 from Cockatrice Press.

Beyond the trilogy, I’m diving deep into a YA novel set in 800 AD Ukraine (think folklore, grit, and a touch of magic), and a historical fiction project about Romani immigration in the 1950s, which is close to my heart.
I’m a fan of fantasy, high-stakes adventures, and stories that crack your heart open just a little.

In the 2025 I finished MFA in Writing for Young People at Antioch University in Los Angeles, where my research focused on the representation of women with Autism Spectrum Disorder in American pop culture.
